Christmas

Christmas day is winding down now. Jordan had a great day, and got lots of gifts. It has been bittersweet without my daddy. It was one of the best Christmas's I've had otherwise. I am so fortunate to have a wonderful family. We all got lots of great, nice gifts, and spent some quality time together. We have not left our house Except to go Next door to Kathy and Wayne's House, nice to not be on the road. It has started to snow now. Thus is the third time we have seen snow but will be first time of any accumulation. White Christmas night!!!! After so much that has gone on this last year and a half for us, it was a great day and nice way to spend it with loved ones.

Take a moment to reflect on the real reason for Christmas. A child is born, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are all sure to have circumstances that look dim but remember they are just that, only circumstance.

Random

Well since my last post I've had numerousthings I should have added. My co worker has been stalked by the cop friends again, crazy things at the office, and some fun too. Our office Christmas party was a big hit, the food was great and th fun and entertainment was well worth it. We were very lucky to have the quarters at the Moose Lodge available to us, and a meal they prepared. We also had a pot luck lunch at the office as well. I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful group.

LB

So the last few days the temp in town has been recorded at 100-144. Wow we are burning hotthere. Maybe it’s "Heidi" my co-worker. She seems to have a loyal following of Married Cops. I have no idea how this happened, but makes me wonder. I am trying to get her to blog about the conversations that she has had with them. It's so funny and that alone would make a great story all by itself.

In all honesty I think the magnetic field is off in that town, something sure is.LOL!!! HA HA HA

I have had so much fun and laughter there. One statement from the week that cracked me up is
“I don’t want to be one of those statics; you know that you hear about on the today show. Somebody finds you, the spouse finds out and then beats you with the wrought iron pan" This has to be the funniest things to me, as I can recall this type of story in the local paper a few years ago.

I'm truly surprised at what people think is acceptable. No accountability for anything. I am reminded daily that so many people feel a sense of entitlement. Who told them that our society owes them something, or that they deserve free. My day started and ended this way. I am going to start writing down these instances for my own amusement.

Anything to add from my co workers??? It however goes beyond just work for me.

Ramblings

I have to figure out where to start to tell about the last two days. However my day today started with one of my coworkers, and her eescapades story that the married cop guy that has been "chasing" her bought her breakfast at the Bojangles drive up. Man the life in a small town!! Lol  ( more on this when I figure out how to describe the last few days around here)

Next that same coworker in her most surprised voice says to me, Mary you've got makeup on your face. I don't know exactly how I was supposed to respond to that.

Friended somebody on facebook and she is making excuse to why she didn't accept, hell I didn't even ask her why she hadn't. Boy, can't wait to see what happens there.

Well this was a far less eventful day for us at work. Whew. Joel and I might be asking for trouble. We are headed to his cousins house. It wasn't to bad there. So that is a good thing as they are the most drama filled family I believe I've ever known.  I was amussed that they grown men were playing against four boys in basketball. Joel nearly hurt himself because he was wearing flip flops.

Saturday

Well I am working today and it is not too busy, I guess the town of Louisburg went to the fair today. I am starving at the moment and it is only 10:15 am. Cant wait to see what else goes on here. I have been truly amazed at this town since my return, I do not remember it being this way before. Seems that some things have regressed around here. I am afraid at some of the things that I see on a daily basis in my office. More to come as the days unfold. It is truly amusing.

Friday

As I am new to this please bear with me. This is going to be a fun and somewhat interseting perspective into my daily adventures.

I will start with Friday. It started with the employee that Joel rehired on Thursday, not showing up to work, not calling, no contact what so ever.  So off we went. We were able to get a little bit done. But we got some goods news of future work to come.

Next after we got home we were waiting for a mail run so that we could get to the bank in hopes of making the two o'clock cut off so that we could mail out sub invoices, etc. So that being said, I heard the mail man pull away at 1:35 pm, so I litteraly ran to the mailbox in crocs, Joel ran to the truck, we neither one had our phone and off we went. Driving like crazy, rsuhing and speeding. We pulled into the bank at 1:53 pm, and I jumped out . I got inside to the teller and asked, so did I make the 2 o'clock dealine, to which her response was we dont have a cutoff. So to that I could not tell you how many times I didnt go to the bank thinking it wouldnt matter anyway.

And then to top it off I was off, but I quickly discovered I prob should have been there. Things got a little crazy in my absence. I  work with one of the most laid back doctors ever, except yesterday. It even got him riled. Not to get into to much detail lets just say that we better not have another day like that.
